How to Attract & Keep Talent
In a tight labor market, companies can be too focused on filling vacant positions with people possessing relevant experience and hoping they fit the mold. At SESCO, the nation’s largest lighting agency, the thought process behind hiring has more to do with assessing the novel skills that each individual can bring to the company to move the ball forward. There’s teamwork, yes, but also an emphasis on individuality and unique strengths.
You can find the second half of my interview with John Palk, President & CEO, in the newsletter below. If you missed the first article, it is on our website and in your December 13th newsletter. In both articles, there are some great pointers on how to evaluate an ideal candidate for your business, plus how to treat employees so that they want to stay with you for the long haul. |
