Investing in the Skilled Trades
Provincial governments are continuing to invest in the skilled trades to meet the demand of labour. Nova Scotia and Alberta announced investments this month, while Alberta, BC, and Ontario have modernized their apprenticeship agencies in an effort to improve training. Nova Scotia has also changed its apprentice supervision ratio, journeypeople can now train two apprentices instead of one.
