Did anyone stay up to watch the Perseid meteor show on Saturday night? Though I only saw three meteors, my 11-year-old stayed up much later and tells me it was amazing. Hopefully you took the opportunity to lie on the bow of your boat and look up to the clear, dark sky!
In other boating news, Tim Horton’s publicity promotion on the Civic Long Weekend was interesting. Boaters on Lake Scugog seemed happy to be able to cruise, paddle or sail over to their very own floating drive-thru throughout the weekend. I know that much of the boating community was wondering if this could become a permanent plan, so we interviewed Heather MacLeod of Tim Horton’s, who provided a first-hand update.
