Sailpast pass complete
Tom Brady couldn’t have thrown a better spiral. This is a shot of my handsome son, Will, carrying out our Sailpast tradition for the first time in three years. And wow, was everyone aboard happy to see it!
June is traditionally the month for sailpast. However, I needn’t (and likely shouldn’t) remind you that everything has been locked down for longer than we have been able to stand. So, when the Commodore announced that we were actually having a live, in-person, talking-to-our friends-and-dockmates event this year, you could hear the cheers all the way from E-dock.

Canada’s Largest Vintage Boat Show back in Gravenhurst on July 9
This year the ACBS will be holding their 41th Anniversary Vintage Boat Show promoting the theme of “Magic on the Water”. The Gravenhurst, ON venue is a true jewel to hold an in-water boat show and this year we are expecting a full house from a vintage boat registration as well as attendance. This show clearly delivers some of the finest antique/vintage wooden boats as well as unique vintage glass in the country and beyond.

Canada Sail GP earns 2nd in Chicago
Proving that their stand-out podium finish in the Bermuda SailGP event - Canada’s debut event in the class - was no fluke, the Canadian team took two bullets and finished 2nd overall at this weekend’s Sail GP event in Chicago. It was a different affair than the first outing with lighter Great Lakes winds on the Chicago stretch of Lake Michigan.
