A New Look
This issue marks the first with our refreshed look, our new website is still in development but will be turned over to a new design in the coming weeks. This issue features a new edition of Bill Burr's code quiz and an article on Milwaukee tools for the utility sector. We are also conducting a survey of electricians and electrical contractors to gain more insight into how you have rebounded from some of the challenges and dynamics brought on by the pandemic. The IDEAL National Championship is coming up later this week in Florida, Electrical Industry News Week will be there to provide some coverage of the Canadian competitors, in this issue we revisit a podcast episode from Watt's the Word on the event.

IESO Recommends Shift to Grid-Scale Storage in Ontario, Relying on Natural Gas Expansions to Ensure Reliability in the Near-Term
As part of its plans to acquire 4,000 MW of new electricity supply, the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) is recommending to the Minister of Energy that Ontario make a significant investment in battery storage, balanced by natural gas and other forms of non-greenhouse gas emitting generation to ensure reliability and affordability.
