AFCI, GFCI & Dual Function Breakers
A CECD Group member started a discussion recently on AFCI, GFCI, and Dual Function breakers, saying that, "I am amazed at the price of AFCI, GFCI and Dual Function breakers, I mean they are more the rule than the exception these days so production volumes must have gone up which usually makes things cheaper, but prices haven't come down (much). I fully expect Dual Function to become the rule for ALL circuits in the not too distant future (with a few necessary exceptions of course), and that's going to make the average home load center pretty damn expensive!"
