Singing from the same hymn sheet on mandatory PFD wear
Perhaps the most important thing that I learned during the intense lobbying sessions opposing the Luxury Tax that the NMMA Canada organized for the industry at the “Day on the Hill” lobbying sessions was that you have to have an “ask”.
Many of the MPs and high-ranking officials that we spoke to would quickly go to this question - what was our “ask”?

The Limestone Boat Company announces plans for new facility in Atlantic Canada
Boating Industry Canada recently spoke to Scott Hanson, CEO at The Limestone Boat Company for an update on the company's plans. The company had previously purchased the Aquasport line and factory in Tennessee where they intended to produce Limestone boats alongside Aquasport production, but a variety of circumstances including the impact of COVID-19 resulted in a shutdown of that plant on January 20th 2023. Negotiations by the court appointed Trustee in TN to sell the facility and Aquasport brand are underway.
