North American Safe Boating Awareness Week is this week - May 20 – 26, 2023
Back in April we wrote about North American Safe Boating Awareness Week that will take place across both Canada and the United States from May 20th to May 26th, 2023. In Canada, this initiative is managed by the CSBC (Canadian Safe Boating Council) and its partners, is to promote safe and responsible boating practices.
Being ready to support North American Safe Boating Awareness Week to your customers is a smart business move.

Marine Industry High School Pilot Project – Part 2

The whole idea of this project is to address the issue that the marine industry is facing a shortage of younger people coming into professional roles. Kirkfield Lift Lock modified lockages to start the 2023 season
On September 2, 2022, the Kirkfield Lift Lock site was closed due to a mechanical failure. Since then, construction crews have been on-site working to restore the Kirkfield Lift Lock to full operation. While repairs are progressing well, Parks Canada wishes to advise boaters that expedited single-chamber lockages will be in place for the beginning of the 2023 season.
