Interviews, Copper Recycling, Utility News
This issue features two interviews, Elle Bremmer talks with Alain Quintal about ABB’s recent investments into their Quebec facilities, and Ligia Orlandini of Ledvance discusses her passion for lighting and how she continually adapts to the changing landscape of the industry. In industry news, Westburne has launched a wire and cable recycling program. Recycling copper will play a significant role in meeting demand. Electrification will only grow demand for copper in the electrical market but also for technology in general. Circular economy programs like these will be critical to the industry in coming years. Interestingly, this week Nexans launched their CANADEX 2.0 wire, which is partially made with recycled copper. We also have some interesting news from several Canadian utilities. |
