Team Too Wicked Wins the 2022 Martin 242 NAs
The 2022 Martin 242 NAs were held in light air in Nanaimo with a fleet size of 15 boats. Many top Regional Teams attended the event, including three-time winner Michael Clements, two-time winner Alex Fox, runners-up Ken Holland and Matt Collingwood, and Phil Cragg and Reto Corfu, a top Vancouver team. It was a very tough regatta that required everyone to be "on" every minute, and relatively minor mistakes resulted in several boats passing by in an instant.

Sailing in the Right Gear
I was helping teach my daughters to drive a 5-speed manual over the last while, and they have gotten very good at it. The clutch has survived, and they willingly take that car when they need it, so I think that is a win. I only wish my customers would figure out the 3 gears they need to race a sailboat! Where are these gears? They aren’t exactly gears, but “modes” of sailing. Upwind there are 3 modes: FAST/low, VMG (normal), HIGH/slow.
