Apprenticeship Funding / Copper Mill Update
Canadian Electrical Wholesaler (our brother publication) has learned that a settlement has been reached between Nexans and Unifor to end the strike at their copper rod mill, although details have not been released. This issue features an interesting case study on EV charging load management in an existing building with limited incoming power. BCCA and CAF-FCA have announced they will be administering federal funding for small and medium contractors to take on apprentices, which joins FPDI, NSAA, and Okanagan College who made their annoucements recently. 13 organizations across the country are administering the funding for all eligible trades, including EHRC, and CBTU. |
