Sustainable Practices
As this week marks International Women's Day, it's important to recognize the efforts of the industry to make the trades an equitable career path for women, as well as the work that needs to continue. The electrical industry represents opportunity as an industry that is growing and changing in a way that requires more talent entering the trades. Labour is already a challenge and as demand grows, new technologies emerge, and people retire, the challenge only increases. Which means that celebrating, promoting, and advocating for women in the industry and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion is a necessity for growth.
In this issue we have another installment of Bill Burr’s Guide to CE Code, this time looking at Section 84 –Interconnection of Electric Power Production Sources. Next week we’ll put out the next question in Bill’s code quiz series. Registration for NETCO’s Annual Conference is open, we’ll have more coverage of the event leading up and will be there to report on some of the insights that come out of the event.
