Non-Energy Benefits vs Networked Lighting Controls
The DLC recently published a summary of research which identified non-energy benefits (NEBs) of networked lighting controls. While direct energy savings from controls alone represents a smaller portion of savings compared to the savings from LEDs, the use of networked lighting controls (NLC) continues to provide substantial benefits. Lighting professionals know what lumen depreciation is and how it works, but there are some subtle factors affecting those calculations that aren’t always top of mind.
