A Different Version of LightFair
The most recent edition of LightFair has been redefined or if it hasn’t, it was quite different than the show we were used to. There was a lot of innovation and experimentation this year, including the IALD Immersive Lighting Installations and the IES LightFair Sales Stars, keynote speakers on the exhibition floor. Many of the major manufacturers were not there, which gave us more time to explore smaller exhibitors and meet the consultants, but less first-hand access to the new technologies that were historically the main reason for attending the event. Lighting technologies are still advancing at a very fast pace, and the market is also changing from one quarter to the next. So, it should come as no surprise that the major educational and trade events are also changing. In this edition, read about LightFair, the importance of emergency lighting in a world of controls, inspiring installations, and industry news. Good reading!
