Accessibility in Design
Here we take a look at project that features accessibility as a part of lighting design for Accessibility Standards Canada. Signify has released an interesting new technology for motion detection without sensors, which is being rolled out as a feature in the new version of their Wiz app. Motion is detected by measuring deviation in WiFi signals when a person enters the room. Also, DALI is focusing on wireless controls, NLB talks making driving safer through lighting, Cooper Lighting offers healthcare focused training. |

ASC develops accessibility standards for Government of Canada agencies and federal private sector organizations. Additionally, it promotes, supports, and conducts research into identifying and removing barriers to accessibility. Most of its employees are persons with disabilities and reflect the diversity of Canadian society. Read More |
