The Time to Come Together is Here Again!
Anticipation is growing right now for the Electro-Federation Annual Conference that many of us will be attending in person or virtually. For those not attending or working with EFC I highly recommend learning about the value they bring the electrical market and its players in Canada. Also be sure to read about the need to cast a wider talent net for industry ambassadors by Swati Vora-Patel as well as several other articles discussing the growing need and support being generated to attract young professionals into the electrical market. Enjoy and Have a Fantastic Long Weekend! |

Every electrical distributor and manufacturer has learned the hard way that inaccurate, outdated product content costs money. Whether it’s lost orders, processing returns, or extra work for employees, you know from experience that being proactive in updating and maintaining product content saves time and money in the long run.
As the electrical industry’s leading product content provider and EDI service, IDEA recommends conducting annual and ongoing reviews to manage and ensure accurate digital product content. Read More. |

Copper Giveth and Copper Can Taketh, but Beware
The past few years have seen copper prices increase. A combination of construction increases, EVs and supply constraints have benefited distributors as the price of copper has risen. And with rising prices has come increased gross margin dollar windfall for distributors as their COGs increased and gross margin percentages remained the same. We’ve all heard the stories about contractors who commented (complained) how they quoted a project “a while ago” and by the time they won the project and placed the order, the price had changed.
