Registration under the Select Luxury Items Tax Act
Boating Ontario and all the other marine trades associations alerted their members that the CRA has now posted directions on how to navigate the registration process for retailers affected by the tax which takes effect September 1, 2022. While none of the MTA’s are supportive of this crippling tax by our Government, we do encourage affected businesses to register as needed.

New passenger ferry is powered by the sun and Torqeedo.
This summer, there’s a new way to get to a vacationers’ paradise in the Baltic Sea: a solar-electric ferry. A 14.65-meter-long emission-free vessel is operating several times a day between the village of Kamp on the mainland and the sunny island of Usedom, part of the popular 350-kilometer Berlin – Usedom cycle route.
