Today, NETCO - National Electrical Trade Council was honoured to attend the Day of Mourning ceremonies in Saint John, New Brunswick along with IBEW Canada Local 502 and other trade unions. This solemn day reminds us of the lives lost, and the workers injured or made ill in the workplace. It is a moment to reflect, to grieve, and to recommit ourselves to the highest standards of health and safety for all workers across Canada. We stand with families, communities, and fellow organizations in remembering those we have lost, and in renewing our dedication to ensuring that every worker returns home safe at the end of the day. Together, we will continue to advocate for safer workplaces — today and every day. #DayOfMourning #RememberAndRenew #SaintJohn #NETCO #WorkersRights

EFC's Business sections were happy to work with ESA to raise awareness of concerns surrounding meter base installations. Meter bases with an isolated neutral to the enclosure are marked to indicate they are permanently isolated. Installing these meter bases without a bonding conductor pose a potential electrical safety hazard. Share with those who might be interested.
In collaboration with the Electrical Safety Authority, EFC is addressing a safety concern surrounding meter base installations. To support an increase in awareness and education for installers and distributors, a letter has been drafted that identifies the correct installation and provides additional resources Read Letter Here: https://lnkd.in/gfGEjhFs #ElectricalSafety #BusinessSections
