Fund-raising success at the 21st annual MacDonald Turkey Point Marina London Children’s Hospital Health Foundation Bass Tournament

Huge thank you from the Thomson and Macdonald Turkey Point Marina families. Sunday September 19 was the 21st annual MacDonald Turkey Point Marina London Children’s Hospital Health Foundation Bass Tournament. 31 teams competed in this year’s event. Big shout out to all our sponsors, competitors and volunteers . All competitors received a prize bag thanks to McCormick Canada’s truly awesome gift. On Labour Day Sunday, our Charity concert raised $7000.00 and after Sunday’s tournament we are at $16,000.00 and counting. This is the biggest donation we have ever had in the 21 years of fund raising.

 

 

MacDonald Turkey Point MarinaHOW AWESOME – thanks so much from our family and a special shout out to The MacDonald family, Steve Moore , The Jetty Bar and Grill , The Turkey Point Hotel, Cindy Scott, Speedy Autoglass Simcoe, Lakeveiw Water System, Dean and Cindy Franklin, T.B.B.A. for use of the scales and all others that continue to support our charity event over the decades . 120 bass were caught and released with zero mortality again. Thanks to John Rakoczi and Mike M.C. Eye of The Long Point Bay Anglers Association. Congratulations to the 2021 Champions Ken Sherret and Martin Neary with a total 5 bass weight of 16.44lbs, awesome fishing guys. Big fish went to Bruce and Donna Leeson with a Largemouth tipping the scale at 5.13lbs. Congratulations to all. On behalf of the Thomson family and our entire crew at MacDonald Turkey Point Marina THANK YOU for your continued support, our 21-year grand total is $169,000.00 and counting.
