Attwood, a division of Advanced Systems Group (ASG) by Brunswick Corporation (NYSE: BC) has announced the launch of the all-new PowerBase Series at the 2021 IBEX tradeshow in Tampa. PowerBase is the industry’s first truly intelligent, powered fold-down light or antenna base, all controlled with just a push of a button right within the helm. With PowerBase, users will never have to climb on their hardtop again.

PowerBase series provides safety, accessibility, and reliability with the following features:

• SafeGuard Breakaway – In the event of an impact, PowerBase will safely return to stowed position preventing potential damage to fiberglass top

• SmartDeploy Backdrive – In the event of a blocked deployment, PowerBase senses an obstruction and reverses the light/antenna back to its starting position

• Standardized mounting patterns allow for upgradeability

• Available in Masthead and All-Round configurations featuring Attwood brand LightArmor LED Technology (PowerBase Light)

“Building upon our successes within the industry leading Attwood LightArmor navigation light portfolio, PowerBase allows us to challenge the status quo and address major safety and accessibility needs faced by boaters each and every day,” said Justin Focht, Advanced Systems Group product manager. “PowerBase also offers our OEM partners seamless integration with their existing helms and dramatically reduce hardtop warranty and service claims.”

PowerBase is setting a new standard for accessibility and control. With its intuitive design and technology, consumers can experience worry-free boating, knowing that PowerBase is always aware. Attwood PowerBase Series will be available for purchase beginning Friday, November 26th, 2021. For more information about Attwood PowerBase, please visit www.attwoodmarine.com/powerbase
