CFCM medmix MK Range 100 Years 400Established in 1922, MK develops innovative, high quality dispensers for sealant and adhesive materials, producing specialized and customized ranges of both single and dual-component dispensers.

MK was the original innovator and manufacturer of the first H2 dispenser, a 1-component manual bead dispenser for both cartridges and sachets, designed for use with medium viscosity sealants and adhesives - which is still widely used to this day. The H2 dispenser was produced/sold under the Krøger A/S brand and was closely followed in 1960 by the H40 dispenser, another 1-component bead dispenser for sealing and bonding. All of these dispensers have subsequently been exclusively produced/sold under the well-known MK brand for decades now. Known for its durability and performance in demanding dispensing environments, the now renamed MK H40+ is the first of a new generation of 1-component, manual dispensers with an improved design, for long-lasting professional performance.

The MK range is now approaching 100 products, which include manual, battery and pneumatic driven dispensers and accessories for virtually every application (cartridges, sachets, or bulk pack). Since 2017, the engineering, development and manufacturing processes are based in Hungerford, UK.

In 2013, the MK product line was acquired by Sulzer (a parent company of medmix) and subsequently the MK brand – alongside COX and MIXPAC – has become part of the medmix global product portfolio of market-leading, high-precision delivery devices for the industrial segment and continues to be manufactured and distributed by the Sulzer Mixpac affiliates of the medmix group. All of the MK, COX and MIXPAC brand dispensers may be recognized by their well-known unique and pleasing visual appearances.

Since its inception, MK has developed a strong and loyal following. This following is based on MK’s 100 years of designing and manufacturing expertise resulting in precise, effective, powerful and easy-to-handle high-tech dispensers, for various professional applications. The MK tradition of quality, reliability, and performance are set to continue within medmix’ industrial segment, with the addition of the renowned MK dispensers.

“Adaptation, innovation, and flexibility are core to our product development approach. Offering a range of excellent standard and bespoke products, we consistently develop innovative products that meet the precise needs of our customers. Our Dispenser Product Development Team are proud to have provided innovative and excellent solutions for over a century, exceeding our customers’ expectations across all market segments and applications,” says Gerry Hernandez, Head Global Product Management Industry.

Reliability is one of the reasons why the MK brand and its product portfolio have kept a loyal client-base throughout the years, for which we are both immensely grateful and proud. Matt Lyndon, Head of Engineering Dispensers, Hungerford UK, explains: “Sustainable growth from a family business to global brand. Even though the MK brand is now part of a major global company, our core reputation of excellence in performance that carried us from a family led, small business into a respected international manufacturer continues through every product development program we undertake. This is a result of combining great ergonomic designs with the sourcing of durable components, resulting in high quality and reliable professional products.”

medmix delivers some of the world’s leading hand-held mixing and dispensing systems for adhesives and sealants used within the industrial segment. We are determined to uphold and boost our existing partnerships with industrial manufacturing, production, coating, and construction leaders. Our long-term partnerships are key to our future successes. Roman Thoenig, Head of Business Segment Industry, points out: “The appeal of the MK brand even after 100 years is unquestionable. Now, part of the medmix hand-held dispenser systems offer, supported by the high reliability medmix delivery channels and customised product labelling, we are sure continue to expand and further develop the MK offer towards the next 100-year mark.”
