NMMA 2021 Canadian Boating Statistical Abstract

Nov 14, 2022

The Recreational Boat and Marine Engine Exports & Imports section of NMMA’s 2021 Canadian Boating Statistical Abstract is now available. This section covers exports and imports from and to Canada spanning 2012 to 2021.

After a year of supply chain turbulence and COVID-19 uncertainties, Canadian trade as it related to the recreational boating industry intensified in 2021, resulting in significant growth in trade activity with multiple trading partner nations. As a result, Canada was a net importer in 2021 with a trade deficit of nearly CAD $1.4 billion.

Further report insights compared to 2020:

• Boat and engine export values increased 16.3%.
• Import values of boats and engines increased 84.7%.
• Engine imports to Canada increased 63.1%

The full digital edition of the Abstract will be available mid-November.
