During AUTOMATE 2022 in Detroit, June 6-9, Siemens will present its extensive product and software technology portfolio for industrial manufacturing applications.  At the show, the company will display its array of CNC, variable speed drives, servomotors, motion controllers, PLC automation, robotic integration solutions, network connectivity including RFID, advanced Edge technology and its Real-Time Locating Systems (RTLS), a scalable industrial system that provides real-time locating of tangible assets and people for better process monitoring and management inside the digital factory.  Coalesced on the Siemens engineering platform, Totally Integrated Automation (TIA), Siemens now offers a seamless and diverse portfolio of products and services to machine builders and manufacturing end-users alike.

Additional highlights of the Siemens booth will include:

  •    –   Digitalization solutions that shorten the machine builder’s time-to-market, through Digital Twin technology, where all machine design and operational kinematics are simulated prior to any manufacturing. This development enables substantial savings for the builder and end-user alike, in the design, build, commissioning, startup and training phases of machine implementation.
  •    –   Demonstrations and reference examples of robotic integration into the manufacturing process will be presented, focusing on an assortment of industrial environments.
  •    –   Innovative solutions in the Siemens drive and motor families will be shown with special emphasis on AGVs and other automated motion control that are controlled by SIMATIC PLCs with unified HMI panels and integrated safety — all programmed in the Siemens Totally Integrated Automation (TIA) portal.
  •    –   Industrial Edge and cybersecurity

With its significant and recent advancement in machine control and digital twin technology — SINUMERIK ONE, the first-ever, digital-native CNC — Siemens is driving forward the digital transformation in the machine tool industry.  This new controller works with software to create the machine controller and the associated digital twin from one engineering system and thus contributes to the integration of hardware and software.  Thanks to its seamless interaction between the virtual and real worlds, SINUMERIK ONE is setting new standards in terms of productivity, performance and digitalization.  It’s the future-proof machine controller in the increasingly digital world of manufacturing.
