CAF-FCA’s first national Supporting Women in Trades (SWiT) Conference was held in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 2018 attracting more than 300 delegates from Canada’s apprenticeship community. In 2019, a second edition followed in Vancouver, BC and kept the positive momentum going. At SWiT, delegates learn about initiatives underway across Canada to help address the challenges faced by women working in the skilled trades.

CAF-FCA is working with local partners in Newfoundland and Labrador and across Canada to inform another outstanding event. This year’s program will offer interactive workshops, educational breakout sessions and dedicated networking and support spaces. Join us in St. John’s for this unique opportunity to learn, share and connect with apprentices and skilled trades workers who identify as women, their champions and other community allies.
