Valentin Moreau goes through the Beneteau line in Miami

CY was excited to attend the introduction of Beneteau’s new Oceanis 34.1 at the Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show on Friday, February 18.

Led by Yann Masselot General Manager, the team explained the improvements over the previous 35 model. With a slight reduction in beam and more volume forward the weight has been reduced by 500 kg while the additional volume forward gives more stability. Three different sail plans are offered as well as various interior layout options.

Masselot explained that for the first time in years, the sales volume in monohull boats is increasing, a clear sign that more young couples and families are entering boating. The attractive price and features offered on the Oceanis 34.1 bode well for future success.

Canadian Yachting magazine will do a full sailing review after the show closes so watch for that in an upcoming CY issue.
