On December 13, the Photopolymer Additive Manufacturing Alliance (PAMA) will be hosting a special webinar on flame resistant photopolymers for additive manufacturing.
The association says that as additive manufactured components enter various industrial applications, critical end-users have identified a new requirement for the industry to grapple with: UL flammability testing.
These tests are commonplace for plastic components that go into consumer targeted engineered applications, such as electrical connectors in automobiles and aircraft.
Panelists include: Stefan Hinote, Henkel; Kenneth Vassey, UL Solutions; Thomas Kolibaba, NIST; and Ikpreet Grover, Carbon. The webinar, which will be held from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., will be moderated by David Walker, executive chair of PAMA.
