SPEC Grade Sloped-Top Disconnects Are Now Available In 200A and 400A

The new 200A and 400A SPEC Grade models join their full line of stainless steel and non-metallic motor disconnect and enclosure products

MENNEKES’ has recently expanded their SPEC Grade Series of stainless steel motor disconnects to include 200A and 400A models. These units are the first on the market to combine these amperages in a sloped-top stainless steel enclosure.

Compared to traditional knife-blade alternatives, these SPEC Grade units feature a UL 98 Listed rotary switch, providing a more compact and cost-effective footprint. They also feature a 15-degree sloped roof to facilitate liquid runoff in washdown areas, minimizing potential for harborage contamination. These features, along with a rugged stainless steel enclosure, make the 200A and 400A units ideal for heavy-traffic or washdown areas in food and beverage, pulp, paper and pharmaceutical facilities.

MENNEKES 200A and 400A SPEC Grade disconnects feature a UL 98 switch with 250 and 350 HP max ratings. The use of recommended mounting hardware maintains NEMA 4X; 12 enclosure rating. Captive, quarter-turn cover latches and removable cover facilitates access and field Installation.

Additional features and compliances include:

  • A LO/TO-compliant pistol-grip handle for multiple locks.
  • Early break auxiliary contacts for VFD and starter interfaces.
  • Poured-in-place cover gasket.
  • Minimum operational cycles: electrical – 6,000; mechanical – 20,000.
  • SCCR rating – 200kA RMS Symmetrical for 200A and 100kA RMS Symmetrical for 400A
