True North Solutions Expands into Alberta’s Heartland Region

September 8, 2023

True North Solutions, through its True North Instrument and Electrical Services Field Services team, has announced its geographic expansion into the Industrial Heartland Region of Alberta.

This regional presence will serve as a base for the continued service of True North’s new and existing clients in the region. Jonathan Kelly, who is local to the region, will serve as True North’s Area Manager, Edmonton/Heartland IES Field Services.

“True North’s expansion into the Heartland Region is a major component of our long-term growth strategies and demonstrates our commitment to our clients in this region,” said Tony Manning, President TNIES. “Hiring local personnel closer to our clients’ operating assets reduces travel time and costs, improves our response times, and helps our clients meet their commitments to the local communities in which they operate.”

Alberta’s Industrial Heartland has a geographic footprint of nearly 600 km2 and is home to more than 7,000 permanent employees working across a variety of sectors, including advanced manufacturing and oil, gas, and petrochemical production and processing. With more than $40 billion in current capital investment and a projected potential of an additional $70 billion by 2030, the region creates diverse, responsible, sustainable opportunities for people living and working in the region.

“We’re excited to work with our clients to continue growing new opportunities in Alberta’s Industrial Heartland to shape future generations — specifically in craft labour and trades. We’re here for the long-term,” said Manning.
