Thanks for participating in our Furry Boating Companions contest. The most liked photos on our Instagram @cpsboat were:

1st place is Cheddar on anchor watch, submitted to us by Steve Wong from DeCourcy Island, British Columbia (photo above).

Tied for second place is:

Walter and was sent to us by Vikki Steenson from the Georgian Bay, ON. Vikki says we weren’t sure if he was going to enjoy boat life at first, but he’s 100% a boat dog now. He enjoys lounging in the cockpit, soaking up the sun and is a great fishing buddy.

Bayfield Marine Turns 40 with Big April Events

Ron and Pat Reder started out in October 1984 across the road from where they are right now on the Bayfield River in Bayfield ON. The store front was about 10 x 20 and the rest of that side of the building was a stock room, wood finishing room, then behind that was more back stock and the lunchroom. Expanding every few years for the store front, then moving over to this new building five years ago, this year with Adam, Shelley, and Holly are carrying on the business.
