Kerrwil Media Limited Announces Rebranding

Kerrwil Media Limited (KML) is excited to announce the unveiling of new names and new logos as part of its extensive rebranding initiative.

The new brand, Canadian Boating, will replace the legacy brand Canadian Yachting on its namesake print and digital format magazine.

Canadian Yachting Onboard, the digital digest deployed twice monthly, will also adopt the new name, Canadian Boating Onboard.

The official website launch has taken place and will be followed by the digest launch and the first official issue of Canadian Boating magazine featuring our annual December Gift & Electronics Guide. A celebratory launch will take place at the Toronto International Boat Show in January 2024.

Canadian Yachting started as a print magazine in 1976 and has served the national sail and power boating/yachting communities in Canada ever since. The brand has evolved from a print magazine to now include a digital format as well as website and related digital boating news digests.

Kerrwil Media Limited, the parent company, believes first in serving the community for which it publishes. In doing so, the evolution of their brand to follow boating industry trends is their priority and rebranding our legacy publication is the outcome!

Current boating content includes power and sail for Canadian boating enthusiasts featuring boat reviews, technical, mechanical, how-to, lifestyle, new products, destinations, chartering and more.

“Our current dedicated readership can rest assured that they will receive the same great content they are used to, plus a broader focus on boating including more on personal watercraft, pontoon boats, larger cabin cruisers, sailboats, yachts and everything in between,” said Jill Snider, Vice-President of KML. “Our goal is to create content for a broad boating demographic. We strive for inclusiveness by engaging new boaters through to seasoned boaters in all demographics. Boater ‘footitis’ is real, and engaging boating enthusiasts from entry-level and up will encourage the journey for a lifetime of boating growth.” Additional content planned will include (but not be limited to) multi-generational stories from Gen Z’s to Boomers of all boating experience levels. More focus on women and family-oriented boating, plus a wide range of diversities and the environment are also planned.

The new logo designs are adapted from the originals and were created to keep the brand legacy of Canadian Yachting. The design lends itself to an inviting, friendly community clearly associated with its predecessor.

The new website has been assigned the new domain www.canadianboating.ca. The previous domain, www.canadianyachting.ca and all its extensions will be redirected to the new domain.

The Pursuit S 268 Sport centre console is a do-it-all kind of boat with a solid sense of style. Centre console designs have been developed for the southern blue water sport fishing enthusiasts (and this boat would raise fish with the best of them) but the Pursuit S 268 Sport centre console offers far more utility and enjoyment than just fishing.

Ron and Pat Reder started out in October 1984 across the road from where they are right now on the Bayfield River in Bayfield ON. The store front was about 10 x 20 and the rest of that side of the building was a stock room, wood finishing room, then behind that was more back stock and the lunchroom. Expanding every few years for the store front, then moving over to this new building five years ago, this year with Adam, Shelley, and Holly are carrying on the business.
