A New Way of Doing Business
In some ways, “a new way of doing business” is really the old way of meeting face-to-face when debuting new products or introducing a company. That is still the gold standard when it comes to establishing mutual trust and building a business relationship. However, there is a “new” format that is gaining popularity — and it doesn’t involve walking miles in a convention center.
All across the country, there are regional lighting shows taking place in ballrooms and modest venues with 10x10 booths and a concentration on introducing the company to a targeted, smaller audience. These formats and locations are convenient to access and don’t involve the high cost of airline travel and multiple days away from work. There won’t be a Lightfair 2024 edition; the show returns in 2025 in a yet-to-be-determined location and following a schedule similar to the Light+Building show in Germany. In the meantime, these smaller lighting events will continue throughout 2024. I’m interested in hearing your opinion on which type of format you prefer. Let me know! |
