Pockets of Growth
While at last week’s Lightovation in Dallas, I asked show attendees which areas of the residential industry appear to be growing, and which are slowing. As widely reported by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) among other organizations, the health of the moderately affordable single-family home market depends on where you do business. California – from top to bottom – appears to be stagnant (or worse), and those states where factories are being built to meet opportunities in EV battery production are seeing a demand for multi-family housing to accommodate the influx of workers. Some viewed the weaker numbers as “a correction” to the booming housing market of recent years and inflation. What are you seeing in your area? I’m interested in learning about what is happening in your business community. Tell me at lindalongo@uslightingtrends.com
