OCSiAl’s Graphene nanotubes replace carbon in conductive paints
Graphene nanotubes producer OCSiAl is promoting the use of its products in conductive electrical heating paints. Vladimir Kravchenko, the company's Vice-President, Development and Support Leader for Thermoplastics, Thermoset and Construction Materials, says: “Conductive additives have been introduced into primers and paints for years, and we can observe some carbon-based solutions on the market. However, compared with carbon black, graphite, or metal parts, nanotubes make it possible to obtain a more uniform consistency of paint and do not affect its practical properties. The key for manufacturers is the ability to speed up production and reduce costs while gaining an improvement in the properties of the final products.” Read More |

LSI Rebrands as Arxada and Joins Troy
Arxada and Troy Corporation have agreed to combine the two companies. This agreement represents the first strategic deal by Arxada, formerly known as Lonza Specialty Ingredients or LSI and owned by private equity funds Bain Capital and Cinven, since the purchase from Lonza Group in July 2021. 3M Sees Strong Sales Growth in 2021 Third Quarter
3M reported increased sales in all the company’s business segments. 3M recently reported its results for the third quarter of 2021, including a 7.1 percent increase in total sales (to $8.9 billion), compared to the 2020 third quarter.
