Arc Flash & Shock Safety
This issue has another article from contributor Terry Becker. In Alberta the 2021 edition of the Canadian Electrical Code comes into effect arcoss the province February 1st 2022. The province notes those who have received permits for work under the 2018 edition prior to February 1st will be considered code compliant. Installation permitted on or after February 1st are required to comply with the 2021 CEC. This month our product focus has been Test & Measurement, next month it will be Power Quality. |

New Canadian Electrical Code Comes into Effect February 2022 Throughout Alberta
Persons who have received permission (or a permit) by the authority having jurisdiction to undertake electrical installations regulated under the previous 2018 Canadian Electrical Code, Part I (twenty-fourth edition) prior to February 1, 2022, will be considered in compliance with the Safety Codes Act. Installations permitted on or after February 1, 2022, are required to conform to the new 2021 edition of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I. |
