Onboard Readers Choice Monthly
Well folks, it’s July – also, it is going TOO FAST (but not as fast as Rusty Wyatt in Italy).
I encourage you to get out and go boating now that the great summer weather is here. As industry members and boaters ourselves, we know that fuel prices are high at the roadside pumps and even higher at the dockside pumps. But don’t let that keep you tied to the dock or sitting on the trailer. Get out on the water and make memories boating! You will be glad that you did.
Canadian Boating would like to invite our readers to share in our first ever Boating Memories Story Contest and for that, you will need to be out on the water creating your content! We are asking for a 350–1000-word story including 3-5 photos (preferably 300 dpi or better). The nature of your essay should be about a particular fond memory you have from boating or a general essay about why you love boating. A reference to the uniqueness of boating in your area of Canada is always welcome too! As Canadian Boaters, we are so fortunate to be surrounded by Canada’s inland lakes and coasts and we should celebrate that! Winning stories will be published in an upcoming issue of Canadian Boating Magazine PLUS; the top 3 stories will win an online chandlery gift card valued at $100-$300! All questions and entries can be submitted to jillsnider@kerrwil.com
Enjoy Reader’s Choice Monthly for July 2024 and send us your stories!

Yes, achieving a Guinness Book record is pretty impressive; not surprisingly, there is a designation for the world’s oldest water-skier. For a few months in 2021, that title belonged to then 92-year-old Ontarian, who set the record on Bella Lake near Huntsville, ON. |

Please hold my calls – (I’ll get back to you in November)
|
For boaters in this country, every boating season day counts. To make the most of your on-the-water experience, getting organized in advance is critical. You can’t perfect the entire season in one session, so we suggest one month at a time is optimal.
